Marina Lambrini Diamandis was born 10 October 1985. She is a better well-known by her stage name Marina & the Diamonds, is a Welsh singer-songwriter.

Born in Brynmawr & raised in nearby Pandy, she performs for choir productions in her youth. In 2009, Diamandis came to prominence after being ranked in 2nd place on the Sound of 2010 poll organized by the BBC.
